Precautions

Anchor 2
  • Avoid Blood-Thinning Substances: In the days leading up to your appointment, avoid consuming alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications or supplements like aspirin, ibuprofen, and fish oil. These substances can increase the risk of bleeding and bruising during the procedure.

  • Avoid Tanning and Sunburn: It's crucial to avoid tanning or getting sunburned before your appointment. Sunburned or overly tanned skin can be more sensitive and prone to complications during the procedure. If your skin is sunburned or tanned, reschedule your appointment for a later date.

  • Discontinue Retinol Products: If you use skincare products containing retinol, stop using them on the eyebrow area at least one week before the procedure. Retinol can thin the skin and make it more sensitive.

  • No Waxing or Tweezing: Do not wax or tweeze your eyebrows for at least one week before the appointment. Your technician will want to work with your natural eyebrow hair, and this provides a better base for them to create your desired shape.

  • Avoid Chemical Peels and Facial Treatments: Refrain from chemical peels, laser treatments, or other facial procedures that can affect the eyebrow area for at least two weeks before your appointment.

  • Stay Hydrated: Maintain proper hydration by drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to the procedure. Well-hydrated skin tends to heal better.

  • Plan for Downtime: Be prepared for some downtime after the procedure. Your eyebrows may appear darker and bolder immediately after the tattooing process, and there might be some swelling and redness. Plan your schedule accordingly.

Aftercare

Anchor 3

  • After the procedure, the skin around your brows may be red and you may feel dull pain for about 2-3 hours.

  • You can wash your face with water only, but always make sure your brows are completely dry right after (Please do not use cleansing product on your eyebrows for 1 week)

  • Eyebrow makeup may be used 1 week after the procedure.

  • If you put too much of the after care cream onto your brows, your brow will lose colour as the cream will provide too much moisture.

  • Please avoid swimming, and going to a sauna. You may exercise as usual, but please make sure your brows are completely dry right after.

  • After 2-3 days, your brows will become darker as some scabs may appear.

  • Please do not scratch or pick on your scabs. After 4-5 days, the scabs will fall off.

  • After the scabs fall off, your brows may look lighter than you expected, but please do not worry, the real color will appear slowly.

  • If you have any unexpected problems with the healing of the skin, please contact me to discuss further instructions.
